The Weapon class was a class of anti-aircraft destroyers of the British Royal Navy set to the end of 1944. These units entered service in 1947, remaining there until the end of the sixties. Battle of the next smaller class were the caprine British destroyers to be built according to a project completely different from that of the various “Flotillas of emergency” built since the outbreak of the Second World War.

It was initially planned to build twenty units, of which only thirteen were set up and only seven were launched. The cessation of hostilities in 1945 led him to a further reduction in numbers, with the result that only four ships were completed. Two units ordered with the names of Celt and Centaur as part of the previous class C, also known as the “Fifteenth Emergency Flotilla,” were inconvertible for the new project.
